Housing, dining refund Checks coming April 10

Spring concerts at FMU PAC postponed
Grammy winner Shawn Colvin’s April 25 concert has been postponed until a later date. The Allman Betts Band has been rescheduled from May 6 to August 19.
FMU closing campus, moving to online instruction March 25
Francis Marion is officially closing through March 31, per South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster’s March 15 Executive Order related to the continuing spread of the coronavirus in the state.
Francis Marion University reopens after winter break
Francis Marion University’s business and administrative offices have resumed normal hours of operation; Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
FMU celebrates fall commencement, first class of doctoral graduates
Francis Marion University awarded degrees to 329 graduates at its fall commencement ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 15.
FMU to reopen on Wednesday
Due to extensive flooding and widespread power outages throughout the Pee Dee River Basin, Francis Marion University will remain closed Monday and Tuesday.
Maintenance crews will be on campus Monday and Tuesday dealing with minor damage that occurred as a result of the storm, but essential systems on campus survived the storm in good shape.
Assuming major roadways are passable by mid-week, FMU will re-open on a normal schedule Wednesday.
