Student Services Program Coordinator – Student Life (25-10)
Francis Marion University and the Student Life office invite applications for the position of Student Services Program Coordinator who, under limited supervision, is responsible for the development and implementation of recreational activities, and the promotion of the health and well-being of the Campus community. Organizes and promotes intramural sports and evening and weekend programs. The Student Services Program Coordinator assists with the responsibilities for the operation of the Smith University Center and student life activities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for evening operations of the Smith University Center, related recreational activities, and other evening and weekend programs as assigned.
- Monitors and schedules student employees.
- Ensures services for events are met, including audio-visual equipment for meetings, or other equipment as requested by people using the facility.
- Monitors and reports facility usage rates.
- Provides comprehensive intramural sports programming to meet national standards.
- Establishes student leadership for intramural sports program and informal recreation.
- Develops and implements all recreational sports programs of the University including intramural sports, instructional programs, outdoor recreation, special events, and sports clubs.
- Organizes, promotes and implements special recreation programs for individual groups.
- Assists in the coordination of Student Life programming as needed.
- Handles the inventory of equipment and supplies for recreation programs.
- Assists the Vice President of Student Life with regular and special projects as they occur.
Francis Marion University Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to accommodate a flexible schedule. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Excellent communication skills, and ability to accommodate the recreational needs of a diverse University community.
State Requirements: A bachelor’s degree.
Francis Marion University Preferences: Bachelor’s degree. Must have knowledge or related experience in related activity coordination, administration, and supervision. Three to five years of related experience is preferred. Recreation Management AED, CPR and lifeguard-certified concerned are a plus.

Band/Level: 4/2
Salary: Commensurate with abilities, experience, and state pay bands.
Normal working hours: Monday – Friday, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am; evening and weekends as scheduled. Summer hours will vary.
