The Department of Sociology at Francis Marion University invites applications for the position of Field Director for the newly developed Bachelor of Social Work.  This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor.  The BSW Field Director is responsible for developing and managing a CSWE-compliant field education program.  The field director will be tasked with establishing community partnerships for field education, teaching practicum courses, coordinating and supervising student placements, managing internship agreements, and working with the BSW Program Director to execute aspects of the CSWE accreditation process that are relevant to the field education program.  The ability to teach Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare Policy is desirable.  Other duties include academic advising and engaging in research and scholarship.

FMU Requirement:

MSW from a CSWE-Accredited program with a minimum of 2 years of post-MSW professional practice.                                  

Preferred Qualifications:    

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW); Doctoral degree, experience coordinating field practicums and supervising social work interns.

Salary and Benefits:

Professional Development:
