Assistant Professor of Computer Science (24-91)

Francis Marion University (FMU) and the Computer Science program in the School of Business invite applicants for a tenure-track position in Computer Science.  Francis Marion University desires a teacher-scholar who excels in both teaching and scholarship with the ability to teach a variety of undergraduate computer science courses. Strong mentoring skills are very desirable.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Teaching computer science courses at the undergraduate level.
  • Supervising field and clinical experiences.
  • Academic advising.
  • Participating in program assessment and accreditation activities.
  • Conducting and/or developing and publishing research.
  • Serving on school/university committees; and
  • Participating with professional organizations.

FMU Preferences: Earned doctorate in Computer Science from an accredited institution.  ABD with imminent completion date will be considered.
