On-Campus Housing Application

To reapply for on-campus housing and request a FMU Housing assignment, you will need to:

  • Apply and receive admission to FMU as a student (Call 843-661-1231 with ADMISSIONS questions).
    If you are a new student, pay the Enrollment Fee.
  • Pay the $115 non-refundable Housing  Reservation Deposit (pay online through the Patriot Portal
  • Complete the Francis Marion University (FMU) On-Campus Housing Application through the Patriot Portal
    • You will click on Semester Planning then Housing and then Student Housing Portal.
    • Sign in at the top red banner that reads FMARION – Student SSO Login.

Upon submission of your application, FMU Housing Staff will review your completed application, verify payment of the non-refundable deposit (assignments are not made until the housing reservation  deposit is verified). Once payment is verified, Housing staff will assign the student based on, availability of space. Preference is given based on classification and the date on which application, and/or deposit was received. Roommate/Suitemate pairings are also based on the availability of space, the eligibility of all requested roommates/suitemates, and all requested parties reciprocating the request on their respective applications.

FMU Housing reserves the right to make and change assignments based on its interest in maximizing occupancy and or distributing residents effectively. Completion of the On-Campus Housing Application  does not automatically result in an assignment to a residential space (i.e., residence hall or apartments).
