Francis Marion Board of Trustees elects new officers
Francis Marion University’s Board of Trustees elected three new officers during its regular quarterly meeting on Thursday, March 1.
Robert E. Lee, an attorney from Marion, S.C. was elected to the position of chairman of the Board of Trustees. Lee formerly served as the board’s chairman from from 1999 to 2003. He has served on the board since 1998.
Dr. H. Randall Dozier of Georgetown, S.C. was elected to the position of vice chairman of the Board of Trustees. Dozier is the superintendent of the Georgetown County School District. He has served on the board beginning in 1991 until 2000 and rejoined in 2002 and served as the board’s chairman from 2011 to 2014.
Floyd L. Keels of Kingstree, S.C. was elected to the position of secretary of the Board of Trustees. Keels is the former president and chief executive officer of Santee Electric Cooperative, Inc. in Kingstree. He has served on the board since 2013.
