FMU updates masking policy following new CDC data

As of March 1, masks will be required in certain areas on campus.

FMU’s membership application to the S.C. Sea Grant Consortium was unanimously approved by the Board of Directors at its annual meeting on November 29, 2021.

Francis Marion University named 418 full-time students and 47 part-time students to its President’s List for the Fall 2021 semester. In addition, 493 full-time students and 41 part-time students made the Dean’s List for the fall semester.

The January 21 performance of Bush, Marshall, Meyer & Meyer at the Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center has been rescheduled to January 30.

Gately was a part of FMU from its early years, beginning his work with the University in 1973. He was an associate professor of Visual Arts and the coordinator of FMU’s Visual Arts programs.

The entire Francis Marion University community extends its deepest condolences to the family of S.C. Sen. Hugh K. Leatherman Sr., who died early this morning at the age of 90.

Francis Marion University faculty and staff gathered on October 20 to honor the retirement of Fred Kunz, Superintendent of Grounds and Maintenance, and Carlton Sellers, Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.

Goff, an associate professor of Music Industry, was presented with the award during a luncheon at Ervin Dining Hall on FMU’s campus Friday afternoon.
