MSLP Academic Curriculum
OVERVIEW
The MSLP program offers a five-semester master’s degree in speech-language pathology during which time students acquire the knowledge and skills needed for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology. The program is full-time only and the vast majority of classes are conducted live/in-person. Please see the academic curriculum below.
The academic curriculum is designed to meet all requirements for breadth and depth of content in normal and disordered human communication and feeding/swallowing skills across the life span. Each course has been designed to address accreditation and certification requirements.
It should be noted that normal human communication processes will be addressed primarily in prerequisite courses. The graduate curriculum focuses primarily on prevention, and assessment and management of communication and feeding/swallowing disorders.
Students will be involved in prevention activities through service-learning projects and activities.
