Director of Career Center/Coordinator of Military Leadership Program (25-16)
Francis Marion University invites applications for the Director of Career Center/Coordinator of Military Leadership Program. The person in this position will be responsible for managing the University Career Center and coordinating the new Military Leadership Program.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage the daily services of the Career Center.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with students, faculty, academic schools and departments, state and federal agencies, and appropriate employers regarding Career Services at FMU.
- Facilitate events, assessments, and other activities that promote career opportunities for students.
- Provide advising and training for students to prepare them for careers after graduation.
- Establish and maintain a network of employers who engage students with career opportunities through individual recruitment and career fairs.
- Develop and maintain a Military Leadership program in conjunction with the South Carolina National Guard.
- Serve as the primary instructor of Military Science Courses.
- Recruit students to participate in the Military Leadership Program and will coordinate associated activities upon enrollment.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred. Successful experience as a commissioned officer or senior non-commissioned officer in the United States Military strongly preferred.
State Classification: Academic Program Director (UE03)
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Desired Start Date: February 2, 2025
