Part-time Clinical Instructors-Nursing (25-07)

Names and contact information for three (3) letters of reference.  Francis Marion University and the Nursing Program invites applications for master’s (preferred) or baccalaureate prepared, part-time clinical instructors for the Spring 2025 semester (January to May, 2025).

Qualifications:         

• Earned MSN.
• Two years (fulltime) clinical experience.
• Licensed as an RN in South Carolina.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring

Responsibilities: Teaches in on-campus simulation laboratory, skills laboratory, and/or inpatient clinical setting supervising eight (8) junior or senior baccalaureate-nursing students.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Organize and plan clinical days for students.
• Communicate weekly with course coordinator.
• Provide feedback for care plans/ concept maps.
• Participate in course orientation with course coordinator.
• Read adjunct faculty and student handbooks.
• Orient to the clinical facility if not employed in the facility.
• Submit all needed paperwork, criminal background check, drug screen and vaccination records.
• Assure completion of necessary student records/reports by designated due date and forward to course coordinator.
• Report midterm warnings to the course coordinator for processing.
• Role model professional behavior and appearance.

Start Date: January 2, 2025
