Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts–Lighting and Scenic Design (25-02)
Francis Marion University and the Department of Fine Arts invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts-Lighting/Scenery Design with experience and interest in lighting/scenic design, technical direction, and teaching at the college level. MFA or PhD preferred. Individual will instruct classes in design, stagecraft, and general education courses in theatre. Responsibilities include scenery and lighting design as well as technical direction/shop supervisor for three University Theatre productions. Computer aided design knowledge preferred.
The Theatre Program in the Department of Fine Arts offers a bachelor’s degree in Performance Arts with a Theatre Specialty and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST). For more information about FMU’s Fine Arts programs: https://www.fmarion.edu/finearts/
