Elevate everyday places and spaces to sensational images. Emphasis is placed upon using camera fundamentals, compositional techniques and observations of light and shadow to make stunning images. Several class periods will meet at the FMU Freshwater Ecology Center for hands-on demonstration and personal application of concepts. You’ll learn about how camera settings are used to improve landscape and nature photographs, how to create dynamic compositions through compositional tools, how to plan and prepare for your shoot, and creative camera techniques such as long exposure and intentional camera movement. Prior knowledge of photography fundamentals is helpful, but not required. Participants will need to have their own camera.
