What was your reaction when you found out you were being awarded the Darla Moore Scholarship?

“I was really happy. Taking on student loans was a very big concern for me. To know that I wouldn’t have to worry about student loans and I could just focus on college life and my education, that was a huge relief and a big weight off my shoulders. I know first hand how student loan debt can really hold you back. I don’t want that for myself. So I was very happy when I learned that I was being awarded the scholarship.”

What led you to choose FMU?

“I really liked the environment. I really felt like I could fit in here. I didn’t feel comfortable going somewhere super big. Another main thing was the cost. With this scholarship and others I received, I have all my expenses covered.”
