Mission Statement

The mission of the Francis Marion University Department of Nursing is to prepare graduates to function competently as caring, professional nurses in a variety of healthcare settings. The program endeavors to instill in students the value of lifelong learning.

Nursing Programs

BSN (Pre-licensure)

For students who don’t have a nursing license.

RN to BSN

For nurses interested in furthering their education.

Doctor of Nursing Practice

Practice-oriented terminal degree program.
Includes MSN to DNP, BSN to FNP/DNP, and BSN to PMHNP/DNP tracks.

MSN/FNP

Family Nurse Practitioner program.

MSN/PMHNP

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
Also available: Post-Master’s PMHNP Certificate

MSN/Nurse Educator

Master’s degree program for nurse educators.
Also available: Post-Master’s NE Certificate
